Engineers Armwarmers Knitting Kits

$50.00

I originally knit a pair of these armwarmers to fill both a both hole in my work wardrobe and a need for a simple knitting project that I could easily pick and put down as time required.  The design is inspired by the colors and textures of the Tracy Arm - Ford's Terror Wilderness Area in Southeast Alaska.  And then I wrote the pattern down.  And then I realized that I had knit them from the scraps of random cone ends and yarn seconds that fill my luggage, and that only very small amounts of the secondary colors were required.  So I decided to put together a knitting kit.  And then I decided that they should have project bags, which obviously led to the need for an original block print and a stitch marker.  And the pattern involves rolling a die, so that it included as well.  Basically I got a little carried away.  These kits are of an extremely limited edition.

The kit is based around the semi-worsted yarns spun from the fleece of the mixed Cotswold Romney flock of Liberty Wool Farm in Palermo, Maine and hand dyed with natural dyes.

This kit contains:

·      Three skeins (330 yards) of Upton Yarns Romney > Cotswold in Loam

·      One mini skein (40 yards) of Upton Yarns Romney > Cotswold in Bark

·      One mini skein (25 yards) of Upton Yarns Romney > Cotswold in Sitka

·      One very mini skein (4 yards) of Upton Yarns Romney x Cotswold in Lichen

·      One stitch marker from Blue Dog Workshop (another Mainer! View her full line of stitch markers on Etsy)

·      One die, neatly tied

·      All inside a flour sack project bag, hand printed with an original block print designed by Sam and carved by me.

****Important *****  A paper copy of the pattern is not included in the kit.  The pattern may be downloaded from Ravelry, or a .pdf can be emailed upon request. *****
